Creating Beautiful Wedding Flowers at The George in Rye

I am so thrilled to share some of the magic that happens when beautiful flowers meet the stunning backdrop of The George in Rye. This iconic hotel is one of my favourite venues to work at, and I always look forward to creating bespoke floral designs for couples celebrating their marriage here.

I live just outside Rye, and am also “in house” florist at the George, creating weekly flower arrangements and floral installations around the hotel throughout the year, so I know the set up and the great team.

The Perfect Pairing: The George and Bespoke Flowers

The George in Rye offers an unparalleled blend of historic charm and modern luxury. With its beautiful ballroom, elegant reception areas, and intimate ceremony spaces, it truly is a dream wedding location. The hotel's sophisticated interior provides the perfect canvas for a wide range of floral styles, from classic romance to modern, wild, and whimsical.

Crafting Your Wedding Flowers

When designing the flowers for your wedding at The George, I focus entirely on bringing your unique vision to life, I take your vibe, seasonality, budget, colours, number of guests and inspiration pictures to create designs that work throughout your day, from Ceremony to celebration with clever repurposing and positioning. Whether your wedding is small and intimate or for 110 guests I will tailor your flowers so that you get the best value from them throughout the day.

Here are a few popular elements we love to incorporate:

Ceremony Florals

Statement Installations: Imagine a lush floral arch framing the ceremony in The Courtyard creating a breathtaking focal point for vows.

Aisle Meadowboxes: Adding delicate floral accents or tall, dramatic arrangements along the aisle enhances the sense of occasion as you walk towards your partner, we often make these so they can be easily repurposed to the wedding Breakfast, either to the Mantlepieces or at the base of the top table.
