• Do you provide wedding flowers for The George Hotel in Rye?

Yes, I have been the ‘In-House’ florist at the George in Rye for the last 4 years. When I am not there doing weddings, I’m regularly seen in the hotel, refreshing the house flowers, making installations and decorating the Hotel at Christmas. I work very closely with the event management team.

  • Which other Venues in the Rye Area do you provide wedding flowers for?

I regularly do weddings at The Cherry Barn, Tillingham Wines, The Monastery in Rye, The Gallivant in Camber as well as lots of private houses and churches in the area.

  • How far in advance should we book our wedding flowers?

That is completely up to you, if you want to book me over a year in advance, you can just pay a deposit, then you know that your date is secure, you may not know what you actually want that far ahead, and things can change. If you are booking for the current year then obviously you are ready to make serious plans, and are ready to commit however I may not have availability.

  • Can you create bespoke bouquets to match our wedding theme or colour palette?

Of course we will work together to create the vibe you want, and a cohesive look throughout.

  • Do you offer seasonal flowers and foliage?

Absolutely, all my designs are seasonally led, however I do have to supplement locally grown flowers with imported due to the amount of flowers we use in weddings. If you require purely locally grown flowers, I will require more notice for sourcing reasons, however I have very good connections with all our local growers.

  • Can you deliver and set up flowers at the venue?

Yes, always, everything is delivered fresh on the morning of the wedding, reception flowers maybe delivered the day before if the venue is available.

  • Do you offer wedding flower packages or bespoke options?

No it is hard to offer packages for wedding flowers, as everyone’s requirements are different. However I do like to work within price ranges. I don’t have a minimum spend but the ranges go from these examples:

< £500 bridal bouquet, 2/3 bride maids bouquets, 5 buttonholes

£1000-£2000 Bridal bouquet, 2/3 bridesmaids bouquets, 6 buttonholes, Ceremony Flowers, bud vases for tables.

  • Can we have a consultation to discuss ideas before booking?

  • Do you provide floral arches, installations, and table centrepieces?

Yes I can, and much more!! I have a range of suitable vases, bud vases, bowls, urns, plinths, arch frames, candle sticks etc.

I am happy to travel for the larger scale weddings, I work throughout, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and East Anglia.

  • Do you provide eco-friendly or sustainably sourced flowers?

Yes, I can supply locally sourced flowers in the English growing season.

  • How sustainable are you as a business?

We try to be as sustainable as possible, avoiding using floral foam, single use plastics and repurposing as much as possible. All the time we are doing weddings locally, the less travelling we have to do.

  • Can you work with a limited budget for small weddings?

Yes I can provide for small weddings as long as they are within 5 miles of Rye. I am happy to do small weddings if I am available however, Mood boards and requotes are not included in the price.

  • How do we care for our flowers on the wedding day?

  • No additional care is necessary for your wedding flowers, apart from taking care not to spill or break anything if you choose to repurpose arrangements yourself.

  • Do you provide flowers for wedding photos or just the ceremony/reception?

Both

  • Can I request special sentimental flower types.

Yes I am more than happy to incorporate flowers that have a sentimental meaning to you, as long as they are available, if not I will suggest suitable substitutes.

  • Can you accommodate allergies or special flower requests?

If you are allergic to flowers maybe real flowers are not the best choice for you, but feel free to enquire.

  • Do we need to meet in person to work out our floral needs?

No, I quite often don’t meet couples until the day of the wedding, depending on where they live. I like to meet Couples getting married at the George in Rye when they come for their meal tasting, just to say hello, sometimes speak for the first time. Sometimes I just deal with Event organisers or wedding planners.

  • Do you do weddings on any other days than Saturday?

Yes we will work most days, and venues particularly offer cheaper weekday weddings and Sunday weddings.

  • Can you provide Buckets of flowers for DIY Weddings?

Yes but only for very local weddings.

  • Can you repurpose our arrangements from the wedding to the reception?

Absolutely we love to make the most of your floral investment, and because we are local it makes it very easy for our team.

  • How much deposit do you require?

  • When is the final invoice due?

I will send you your final invoice 4 weeks before the wedding date, it is payable within 24 hrs.

  • Do you have insurance?

Yes we have full Public Liability and Employers Liability Insurance.

I really hope that helps, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions.
